National Account Manager (m/f)

We are looking for a benchmark National Account Manager (NAM) to lead and manage a multi-million pound Footwear business across some of our most important strategic Customers.  You will be accountable for maintaining strong relationships (both internally with international stakeholders as well as with external Buying & Merchandising teams), growing quality distribution, elevating Brand equity within the marketplace and driving profitable sales growth.  Your network will be wide, encompassing a highly respected Global Brand embedded within a matrix organisation.  Strong communication and presentation skills are essential as is a positive and commercial mind-set.

Tasks:

  • Professional presentation of the collection and implementation of accompanying sales programs.

  • Providing professional consultation to customer in terms of assortment and sales measures.

  • Organisation and control of targeted sell-in and sell-through activities to achieve the sales target and KPIs.

  • Ensuring exceptional brand presence in the account stores and on-line working closely with the trade marketing team to deliver the trade marketing plans.

  • Implementation of the strategic distribution plan from the Joint Business Plan and achievement of Distribution Targets.

  • Intensive support of defined strategic customers, planning, analysis, order validation, order book management and monitoring of relevant KPIs.

  • Establishing a strong business relationship with key decision makers focusing on product buyers, merchandisers, allocators and marketing teams.

  • Liaison with key customer contacts regarding supply and agreement of any Value Added Services including the detail and associated costs.

  • Working closely with Country Marketing Manager and develop the multi-channel offer into the omni-channel environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Master degree in a business-related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with major National or International Accounts, preferably in the Sports industry

  • Strong appreciation and understanding of Brand management

  • Fluency in English both spoken and written

  • Solid knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly strong excel skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • High business acumen and customer focus and orientation

  • Comprehensive knowledge of planning and preparation

  • Positive, enthusiastic and action orientated

  • Target, deadline orientated and organized

  • Technical Footwear knowledge preferred
